Why are you sunsetting CVSuite?
WESTAF’s sunsetting of the CVSuite™ tool and subscription-based model is part of a strategic shift toward a deeper focus on our consulting services and convening practices. We believe the best way for us to leverage our industry expertise is by combining data-driven insights with policy initiatives, using the type of economic data our clients have long relied on from CVSuite. This approach will allow us to establish more meaningful connections, enhance our networks, and thoughtfully support creative economy data analysis in our sector, which we believe will be most impactful.
When are you sunsetting CVSuite?
CVSuite will formally sunset on December 31, 2025. See other important dates below.

Will you continue to update your data?
Yes, we will update our data two more times: in July 2024 and December 2024. The date update in July 2024 will update the data to version 2024.1 and include the 2022 NAICS code definitions. The December 2024 data update will update the data to version 2024.3 and include the 2023 data year. Learn more about our data updates in the help center.
How will this sunset impact my current subscription and access to the CVSuite tool?
Current subscriptions will be honored through the expiration date or December 31, 2025, whichever comes first. If your contract extends beyond 2025, a member of the CVSuite team will be in touch regarding your options.
How long will I have access to the CVSuite tool?
You will have access to CVSuite until the last day of an active contract or December 31, 2025, whichever comes first. Following Dec. 31, 2025, CVSuite will no longer be accessible to anyone.
My subscription is up for renewal soon. Should I renew my contract?
We recommend renewing your subscription if you have data needs that CVSuite can fulfill before December 31, 2025. We will continue to offer customer support and maintenance through December 2025. You will receive communications from the CVSuite team with your renewal options.
What should I do before my last date of CVSuite access (when my contract expires and my account closes)?
We strongly recommend that you download reports and data spreadsheets from the site. You can download data from 2011 onward.
Can I cancel my subscription before my current contract expires?
Contracts can not be terminated early unless they expire after December 31, 2025. If your contract extends beyond 2025, a member of the CVSuite team will be in touch regarding your options.
How will WESTAF continue to support creative economy work?
As a U.S. Regional Arts Organization, WESTAF will always be steeped in this work as both a partner to our constituents and a member of the creative economy. We plan to offer our annual Creative Vitality™ Summit again in 2025, and we will continue to offer consulting services for advocacy efforts and data projects in which we assist with policy and legislative analyses, program reviews, research briefs, and consultation on selecting public affairs consultants.
