Data Sources

CVSuite’s data comes from national data sources such as the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Our partner Emsi is the leading data provider in labor market analytics. Their trained economists, statisticians and data scientists clean, validate, and un-suppress the national data sources so that CVSuite can provide data at detailed region and employment levels. Our nonprofit data are provided by the Internal Revenue Service. Unlike other data providers in the arts, CVSuite users can compare regions at the state, metropolitan statistical area, county, and ZIP Code level and analyze the following employment types: Salaried worker, self-employed, and extended proprietor.
